I don’t come to the beach to hang out in a house. The proximity to the beach made this the perfect spot. Literally a 2-3 minute walk to the sand!

I was disappointed in the house. The pictures on the website made the house look much nicer than it really was. For what I paid, I expected better. The location was great; short walk to the beach and a quiet neighborhood. This could be a good house if it were maintained a little better.

This Airbnb was exactly what we were looking for! The location was wonderful!!! We truly loved the location, it is a short beautiful walk to a non-busy part of the beach, walkable/bike-able to plenty of shops and restaurants, and peaceful. The hosts were attentive, the rooms comfortably sized, and the provided beach accessory’s were very convenient. If we came back to the area we would definitely stay again, and highly recommend to others!

The location of this house was fantastic- very safe, close to the beach, the trails are great for bikes - the rental company gives you a discount on bikes. I will say that this place has a ton of deferred maintenance- it needs a very serious power wash and the floors just felt dirty - if you are renting a place where you want to hang out and have family and friends hang out in the house/ cook meals- this not your spot. But if you just need a landing spot to go off and do other things, then book away. Communication was less than average- I asked a question after booking and didn’t get a response. There’s an odor to the house (old age smell)- coming from someone who has rehabbed older homes and knows to expect this, along with an odor in the kitchen sink that we couldn’t shake. Everything except for the restrooms are very outdated and not maintained. Be mindful that there’s a lack of privacy with the curtains. I hope someone buys the home and restores it to its original glory

it was avery nice home. very spacious. the 2 restrooms (that i used and the kitchen worked great. the master bed was very comfortable. I didn't use any of the TVs so I cant comment of the service of those.. My phone had internet, so I do know that worked great. I would suggest knowing that bicycles are a good option in the area. There was no communication from my end, so I cany comment. I had no issues except that I would have liked to had a towel hook close to the glass shower. My favorite thing was a keyless door. I never had to take keys to the beach which is a huge plus. There was ground keeping done one day and I wasn't prepared for that and had debris blown into vehicle. My windows were slightly cracked to keep my car cooler. It wasn't much, but it did happen.

Perfect house and location for our trip. We would highly recommend it to others. It could use some deep exterior cleaning in the back yard to make it more hospitable. Well stocked with beach gear, activities for the kids, and kitchen for a large family dinner. Maybe could use an extra pot holder or two. With so much to do we never turned on any of the TVs. The beach was super convenient and not very crowded as opposed to the public access points.

I will start with the positives. Great location and we enjoyed the ping pong table. This place has potential, but needs work & a good cleaning. The windows were filthy, I found several dirty dishes in the cupboards. The coffee pot was dirty and I had to throw it in the dishwasher upon arrival. The toothbrush holders also needed washing. There was food on the side of the stove by the trash and on the windowsill of the kitchen. The floors were so dirty our feet were black and we had to wash them often or just wear shoes in the house which is not ideal. The outdoor shower did not work. The dryer cycles would not advance & stop on its own! You had to check on it & manually turn it off. A few of the kitchen cabinets did not want to close. We did not bother the rental company, However when a lawn crew showed up unannounced and started blowing leaves next to the window where I was sleeping I had to speak up. I had to reach out twice for a response. No apology. Inconsiderate

Attention to detail. There are a number of things, some of them little, some of them bigger that I could point out about this unit. As an example the HVAC systems duct work is absolutely filthy. You can see the built up dirt through the rusty return vent in the kitchen as well as the registers throughout the house. The mattresses and couch cushions are warn out. The garage had a musty smell. The outside of the windows were filthy. The back yard obviously hadn't had any attention paid to it in sometime. We had to clean the green filthy off the patio table.

Easy access to beach was great. Nice surprise to have beach wagon and chairs in garage. Plenty of AC or fan air. Plenty of parking. It would be nice to have outside lights around driveway. It would have been nice to have had a large cook pot. Didn't use fooseball table or ping pong table.

We do multiple trips to HH each year and have used VRBO home rentals on each trip. We have stayed in all areas of HH, this was our 1st time staying near Coligny Square.This house worked out great for location, size and the fenced in yard was a huge benefit. Our 2 doxies loved it!

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. We really liked the location and proximity to the beach. The house was clean and the beds were comfortable. The backyard is very private and charming. Unfortunately, there were a few downsides. The house, particularly the bathrooms, needs to be updated. The kitchen was rather bare bones in terms of cooking. There was a light in the backyard (maybe the town's?) that was impossible to turn off at night; as such, it was very bright and shined into the house at night, making it somewhat difficult to sleep and just odd, honestly. This was our first time visiting HHI. While we will definitely return, we will also make sure to use another rental agency. They were not very accommodating. We had to start our weeklong vacation one day later than expected. Although there was nobody checking in after our departure, they wouldn't even consider allowing us to stay a day longer w/o charging us full price. Not a big deal, but just no hospitality.
