Very nice value for the money and location. We were a family of 5 and no complaints from us, only minor concerns we had they were very attentive to. Would stay again if traveled to HHI in the future!!

Not pleased- location was great and pool and entry to beach was good; condo itself could use updating; check in process wasn’t good as I didn’t receive info beforehand (not knowing I needed it)— door to balcony was terrible to open and close; the towels smelled wonderful however.

The location along with ease of getting to the beach are awesome. The bedroom is in dire need of painting and the bathroom really needs to be updated. The door to balcony was hard to open and the balcony furniture is lacking and not comfortable. All are easily fixable items that would have made this a 5 star for me. But all in all we had a great stay!

Loved the price, loved the location. It was perfect for me and my partner but we noticed that it would be tight if you wanted to fit any more people (technically sleeps five I believe). We brought most of what we needed, but appreciated all the basics in the kitchen. It has wall unit ACs which were very effective at cooling but did make it smell damp on first impression. We got used to it and spent most of the time on the beach just steps away anyway!

Wonderful visit to Hilton Head Island and loved the location, proximity to shops, the beach and area attractions. The unit is as described and was great for our family. The balcony was great for relaxing. The pool was smaller than other properties near us but it was great for lounging in the sun. The property itself is older than neighboring properties but for the price and location, it is tough to beat.

The only major downfall to the property was the terrible smell, and signs of mold. The bathroom needs some TLC. For the price this property and its location was good.

This rental sleeps FOUR max and is a ONE bedroom. IF two of the four are children under 12. There is a queen bed in the only bedroom that leaves just enough room around it to shuffle in and out. There are two tiny cot-like bunk beds in the hall. If your children are big enough to ride most rides at an amusement park or are the slightest bit claustrophobic they will NOT sleep. I thought it sleeps six? Read the description carefully. There is a defunct air mattress on the floor under the cot beds. Feel free to drag it out, dust it off, blow it up, move around the furniture and let your family members lay on the floor all night. Ironically the description says Just to undo it all each morning. Since the cots and blow up bouncy bed are afterthoughts, everyone’s phone charging cords become a formidable obstacle course you must navigate to get to the single bathroom. My personal best was only one yanked smartphone! There is a consistent mildew smell that is understandable as this rental was designed for a retired couple with occasional grand kids spending the night. Not turning 4-6 people in and out weekly. The only closet in the entire rental holds miscellaneous debris. Generally clean. Kitchen is fine. Nice beach access. Hilton next door gives you solid motivation to do better next time!

Considering the size it was great for my family. The bunks were narrow but my children loved them. It would have been nice if there were some bins under for storage, but we managed. The overall place was clean and had some beach chairs, a wagon and games to accompany our stay. We would stay there again. The pool was heated which was a huge bonus and loved the location to the beach and pool. Lots of fun in the sun! The resort beside was an added bonus as there was a small restaurant that we could go to for poolside drinks and snacks.

We loved the location and the price. It’s smaller than it looks in the pictures. The bunk beds are toddler size. We used the air mattress for our two teenage girls but it took up the entire living room. The bathroom is very small. It would have helped if there was more storage, counter space, or shelving. Bring your own pillow. The pillows provided are very flat. I don’t normally complain Just wanted to help the next guest.

Arrived at property fine but once we entered the room it was all downhill. First thing we noticed was that the unit looked nothing like the pictures. The space was dirty, in need of repairs/updates and smelled musty. After 4 days of dealing with the smell we discovered it was coming from the A/C unit. We took off the cover and it was full of mold and dirt we then removed the bed skirt to find mold all down the side of the mattress. We contacted management which said they couldn’t get to it till the following day. So I went to the store and bought bleach cleaner to do it myself. Management showed up the next day, had a crew come change the sheets basically and offered no explanation for why the unit wasn’t cleaned before our stay, reimbursement of any kind or even a simple apology. Needless to say we will not be staying here again.

We enjoyed our stay. Quiet & friendly guest/residents. I will say looking at the pictures I assumed the 2 pools on the side of the condo were included instead of only having the one pool in the back of the condo. Condo does seem smaller than the pics & if you have tall kids they would not be comfortable on the bunk beds. It would be nice if there was a sleeper sofa. Other than that it was enjoyable & the management were pleasant. Very close to shops & restaurants which is great. If you’re looking for a quiet getaway for 2, than this is the perfect spot.

The living room furniture is basic at best and uncomfortable to sit on. The "pull out sofa" is not something anyone should sleep on. We actually bought air mattresses.

Me and some girl friends wanted a beach vacation that was easy and fun, and this property was exactly what we needed and wanted! a quick walk to the beach and a nice pool when we wanted to be off the beach! the amenities were cute and unique which we loved!! My one and only critique is the "sofa bed" was not the type of sofa bed I imagined and what I think of for a sofa bed. It's the tops of the couch and you sleep long way on the couch instead of like a bed, the friend who slept in it said using extra pillows helped with comfort, but we brought an air mattress and that worked out a little better. Otherwise it was GREAT! beach chairs and buggy provided which came in handy and all the kitchen things you would need for a quick trip!! we would absolutely stay here again!! <3

The condo is in a nice, quiet building with a beautiful view. 5 stars on the location for me! The condo itself is small but comfortable for 2 adults. We had issues with the door code at checkin but the property management company answered my call on the first ring and got us right in with no further issue. The kitchen is not very well stocked so if you are planning on cooking meals, you might keep that in mind. The condo smelled a bit like mildew upon first entry but once we opened the patio sliding door and aired it out, the smell dissipated. I would stay here again, its a great condo/location for the price point.

If you're looking for a place to stay on Hilton Head Island, this is the perfect place! It's right on the beach, nestled in between two large (read: super expensive) resorts, and is close by a few supermarkets and Coligny Plaza - so the location can't be beat. The villa is very cozy and could fit up to four comfortably. The living area has a comfy sofa, an armchair and a small dining table. The kitchen has just about everything you need, including utensils, pots and pans, a dishwasher, and more. Everything you need is provided to you -- from beach towels and chairs, to coffee makers (a drip and a Keurig!), to kitchen towels and detergent, to extra pillows, sheets, and even an air mattress. There are laundry rooms very conveniently located on each floor and a couple of laundry pods are included with the room. The washer and dryer are only $1.00 each and take quarters. When I arrived, the place was immaculately clean. There were no bugs of any sort. And everything was well organized, including very helpful information about the villas and surrounding areas on the desk in the hallway. The balcony looks over one of the neighboring resort's pools with a nice view towards the beach on the right. The balcony is also where you'll find the provided beach chairs and wagon. Oh, and the air conditioning works great! This place is a 10/10 and I highly recommend it! Plus, the management company that handles this room is very VERY responsive.

Hang with me. I like to give thorough reviews because I am always searching for good info in the reviews... The property itself is centrally located. It's about a 10 minute bike ride to the Coligny Plaza and about a 20 bike ride to other restaurants we checked out like Nectar (delicious brunch). The wedding we were attending was the The Shipyard, which was also in biking distance. Upon arrival, our condo wasn't quite ready yet, so we sat down at the bar area next door at the Hilton (literally like 20 yards from our condo) and grabbed a drink from the super friendly bartender. Not long after that, Bob greeted us and told us the condo was ready. Bob was incredibly easy to communicate with and very friendly. The condo has a beautiful view of the pool and ocean and the Hilton next door plays some beachy music throughout the day (not too loud! Very pleasant). Everyone we met at the pool was very friendly. The condo just got a brand new bed when we arrived and it was very comfy! That was a big plus for us. There's a big dresser and large closet to store your clothing in as well. The kitchen did have cookware, however, if I could suggest a couple of things, I would suggest adding one good knife (cutting just about anything felt like I was risking a finger), salt & pepper, and a can of cooking spray that stay in the condo. For those flying in, it would be such a nice convenience. Lastly, the bathroom. Everything is functional and plenty of towels are supplied, however, the bathroom could definitely use an update. Some fresh paint and caulking, or replacing the tub in its entirety would be a game changer. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would absolutely return.

This place was a great place to stay! It is right on the beach so extremely convenient to walk downstairs and be almost right on the beach. We walked to restaurants and shops every afternoon and the Tiki Bar Hut is the best place to hear live music and is a ten minute walk down the beach. The interior of this place isn't fancy, but that isn't what we were there for. We didn't intend on spending much time in the room as there is so much to do in this area. There was coffee provided, soap, towels, beach towels and a cart to carry your things down to the beach easily. We most certainly would stay here again!

Ocean Dunes is a great property with really nice amenities. We were steps from the beach and walked everywhere. Shopping and Restaurants are just around the corner. Highly recommended.

The location was perfect. Close to restaurants, shopping, and most importantly, the beach. The bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows and we had lots of towels to use. We had everything we needed and great Internet reception. The manager, Bob, came to the condo when we were there and gave us wonderful recommendations for dinner. We highly recommend the Black Marlin and Hudson‘s! Couldn’t of asked for a more perfect week away.

The "villa" was fairly nice, but a good bit of dirt in the corners. It also advertised a pullout couch in the LR. When I lifted the cushions to pull it out, I found a frame that had been gutted and re-built with 2x4's. The pool was great and easy access to the beach was nice! Our room overlooked Ocean Oaks and I must say the sound of the spurting fountains ( not a nice even water fall...like a hose held up in the air) in their pool was annoying to me. I want to hear the birds, ocean, etc, not the continuous plopping of water morning, noon, and night. I will definitely consider Ocean Dunes again but only the oceanfront rooms on the 3rd or 4th floor.

We have stayed at Ocean Dunes several times over the years and always come back due to location and price but this unit was my favorite. Bob and Jackie were A+ on communication. I really can’t say enough about how quick they were to respond to questions I had about COVID restrictions before our trip and then even extended our cancellation deadline when the town council meeting wasn’t until after my original cancel date. The unit is clean and well maintained. The WiFi and cable all worked great but cell service is dodgy inside the whole complex (that’s not an issue for this particular unit; it’s everywhere). We had to go outside to get good reception. The AC went out before we arrived, and I got an email saying they’d replaced it with a portable unit which worked really well. We couldn’t even tell the difference. They left us a starter pack of paper towels, laundry detergent, dishwasher packs and the cutest little bottle of dish detergent—-really handy when you’re cooking for kids. One of the coolest elements to this unit is the end tables in the living room and nightstand in bedroom had USB charging ports. This was super helpful with 4 kids—-all with devices. The one down side was the wall outlets were loose and dated and wouldn’t hold any plugs so we had to prop my daughter’s MacBook charger up with a laundry detergent bottle. We absolutely love the new gate at the entrance for safety and the keyless door entry was a big plus. There are two separate walkways to the beach. One is also public access and the other shared with the Hilton and Carolina Beach Club property. The shared boardwalk is gorgeous with new showers and a lighted pathway at night. Just an FYI for anyone traveling with lots of “stuff” to the beach and/or kids: Once you hit the sand, there’s a rubberized sheeting which allows you to walk effortlessly but if you’re pulling a cart, be wary especially if it’s loaded down as ours was the first two days—-it’s uneven in places closest to the beach and your cart may tip over. Also don’t be deceived by that rubberized covering. Wear shoes or your feet will burn. The public access walkway by the Seascape Cabana (to the right of the building if you’re in the parking lot) is more even but you’ll be dragging your cart and your kids through the hot loose sand to and from and it’s the most crowded as that’s where lots of folks like to set up. I would take the newer boardwalk shared with CBC, closest to lifeguards.Overall a great place to stay.

This was a Great location in Hilton Head and beautiful beach area. The villa was fine for 2 people which is all we needed but it’s too small for any more unless you have small children who can sleep in the bunk beds. There’s an air mattress but no sofa bed. I would suggest having extra blankets available instead of just the comforter on the bed. The mattress on the queen bed was not comfortable. The pool was nice but small. It was heated but wasn’t very warm until our last day. You have access to the cabana at Ocean Oak right next door, but couldn’t use their hot tubs or pools. It would be nice if Ocean Dunes could add a hot tub.

My husband and I stayed here for a weekend getaway/mini babymoon. The property was cute and cozy, and had everything we needed. We enjoyed the view as well as being able to semi use the property directly next to us (just not their pools). The walk to the beach was nice and we enjoyed the heated pool on the property. There’s carts and an elevator which was a big deal for me. It was a little too hot for us to walk down to Coligny during the day, but the weather was perfect at night and the walk wasn’t far at all. Oh and the morning sunrises were breathtaking! The property managers were great! They would check in with us via email to be sure all was well and if we emailed them they were prompt to respond. We felt like we got an amazing deal for everything!

My husband and I booked this place for a 6-day, 6-night stay for our anniversary and birthdays. The “check in” process was great as all we had to go was put the code in and we were in! There are also luggage carts available for use to get your stuff to the room. Parking lot was usually pretty full but we never had trouble getting a spot. Upon arrival, we were a little underwhelmed with the view as we looked directly over the pool next door and it was pretty loud. However, the pool was closed by 8pm and the rest of the trip was quiet and the view was great! The condo itself was lovely and updated and we had everything we needed in terms of silverware, cups, etc. The bed was also decently comfortable and we stayed cool at night. The pool was nice even though we didn’t use it much and the walk to the beach was short and we always found a nice place to set up. The marketplace next door (and the staff) was awesome, as we enjoyed a meal, as well as a few drinks from there. Overall, we had an amazing stay and really didn’t want to leave. We hope to be back in the near future!

Perfect little condo for a couple or small family. The location was excellent - walking/biking distance to lots of shops and restaurants. Easy beach access! Only recommendation - A ceiling fan would have been really nice :). Overall, would 100% rent again for vacation.

What a great location in South Forest Beach. The unit was cozy and just enough space for my family of 5 (kids- 6, 4, 2). Beautiful beach, intimate pool, fairly close walk to shops/restaurants and playground! Management was super responsive and VERY helpful. Overall a great place to stay.

Nice condo. No big concerns with our stay. Check in process and communication was great. The appliances in the kitchen are nice and seem newer but I would recommend adding some bowls or storage containers. I would also add a small coffee pot in addition to the Kuerig. Pool at the condo is very small but beach access was nice.

Our overall stay was pleasant. When we came into the apartment smelled like smoke, after we called the property manager he brought so Febreze and made it better but the smell stay in the sheets, blankets, and curtains. The bathroom is dated and a little gross, mostly on the floors and walls. The property is right on the beach and spacious enough for a family. We enjoyed our stay.
